❓ How to Play Minesweeper
🎯 Goal
Reveal every safe cell on the board without clicking a mine. The number on each revealed cell tells you how many mines are in the 8 cells around it.
🖱️ On Desktop
- Left-click a cell to reveal it.
- Right-click a cell to flag it as a suspected mine. Right-click again to remove the flag.
- Middle-click a revealed number to chord — instantly reveal all neighbors if the number matches the flags around it.
- F2 starts a new game.
📱 On Mobile / Touch
- Tap a cell to reveal it.
- Long-press (hold ~0.5 sec) a cell to flag it as a suspected mine. You'll feel a small vibration.
- Or toggle 🚩 Flag mode to make every tap a flag (easier on small screens).
- Toggle ❓ Question marks in the options to cycle: empty → 🚩 flag → ❓ question → empty.
- Pinch to zoom the page if cells feel too small on your screen.
🧠 Strategy Tips
- Start in the center or a corner — first clicks are always safe and cascade-reveal more.
- A 1 next to a flagged mine means all other neighbors are safe — use chord (middle-click on desktop) to clear them.
- If you can't logically deduce the next move, guess — but minimize guessing by using flags.
- Numbers add up: a 2 with only 1 unrevealed neighbor means that neighbor is a mine.
